If you are planning a Disney vacation, there are several ways you can save money doing so.

First of all, plan your own trip, if possible. This takes some effort on your part, but in the long run it is definitely worth it. There are countless Disney-related travel sites, online, where you can conduct your research.

Souvenirs are an almost unavoidable part of any vacation. But, you can save a substantial amount of money if you purchase them at Downtown Disney, as opposed to the park, itself.

Another great way to save money is to split a lunch. This works especially well for children who don’t eat a lot. Most of the counter service restaurants will sell you an extra bun, for right around $1. Order a double cheeseburger meal and transfer one patty to the extra bun. Top with condiments also available at the counter.

Split the fries and drink and you have just saved almost 50% on lunch!

A lot of peopled don’t factor in the cost of meals when going to Disney but the reality of it is that the meals comprise a significant portion of your Disney vacation. You have to splurge and go out to eat a few times but you can cut a lot of expenses as you noted above.
