Basic Safety For Kids on Vacation
Filed Under Family TravelSummer vacations are great way for the family to spend time together, explore a new place, and learn about new things all at the same time. There are, however, plans that you will have to make in order to keep your children safe on vacation.
It is a good idea if you are in a brand new city, state, or country that the family sticks together. Never leave young children unattended in hotel rooms or anywhere else you cannot keep an eye on them.
Make sure that you have their medical information ready in case of an accident or injury. If your child takes medication, make sure you are prepared with enough to take a long of a prescription that you can fill quickly in case you lose your medication.
Also, you will want sit your children down before you go on vacation and give them a plan in case you get separated. If you are using cell phones, make sure that you have all the contact numbers your child will need including the hotel you are staying at and any other places you will go. If a child does get separated from you, let them know the proper authorities to contact in order to reunite with them.
